In aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research
On the 30th June 2010 I left Bristol dock on the morning tide out into the severn estuary, round the south coast to end up (via the River Yare) in Norwich. A trip of about 850 miles which I finished on the 31st of July. Unfortunately the weather was not the best July could offer and parts of the sea trip had to be excluded to stay on schedule.
One of the main aims of the trip is to raise as much money as possible for my chosen charity, which is Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. I have set up a Just Giving page, so if you want to donate click on the link.
One of the reasons I chose Bristol as my start point is because I spent some time at the children's bone marrow transplant centre based in Bristol at the Royal Hospital for Children, supporting a relative who was under treatment for leukaemia. The Blues Cruze trip is symbolic of the journey home.
That's the Cruze part. Next, as a Blues singer, guitarist, harmonica player, I played gigs in pubs en-route, a total of 18 gigs (see listed below) through out the month. We collected £1,791.30 for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and £648 for local RNLI stations around the south coast (£2,439.30) nearly half of the total funds raised.

make any donations via the link. Thank you.
